Janie Yvonne Hobbs Hornback

Janie Yvonne Hobbs Hornback was called home to her Lord and Savior on June 19, 2024. Janie was born September 17, 1952 in Floydada, TX to Marvel Ruth (Ginn) Hobbs and Bill J. Hobbs. Janie received her Associates Degree in Nursing from Tarleton State University. She practiced as a Licensed Vocational Nurse for thirteen years and a Registered Nurse for twenty-nine years. Janie had a servants heart and loved nursing. She was well respected within the profession and inspired many others to join the medical field,

Janie enjoyed reading and studying the Word of God, attending church, spending time with her playing card and board

family, fishing, crafting,

celebrations.

games, and the list goes on. Janie loved Christmas and decorated her home meticulously often displaying a Christmas tree in each of the main rooms of her home. She enjoyed hosting her large extended family

for fun filled Christmas

Janie was preceded in death by her mother, father, beloved husband John Hornback, and sister Donna Alexander.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sister Carolyn Elmore, brother Bill Hobbs Jr., son Tony Stephenson and wife Kimberly, son Chad Stephenson, Stepson Landreth Lee Hornback, 10 grandchildren, and 18, soon to be 19, great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life was held in Janie’s honor at 2 pm on Saturday
