Karen Jean Green
Karen Jean Green
Born on September 13, 1949, in Breckenridge, Texas, Karen was the daughter of Eugene and Hazel Green. She grew up in Eastland and graduated from Eastland High School in 1968, where she was a proud member of the EHS Maverick Band. Karen continued her education at Cisco Junior College, earning an Associate in Arts degree in 1970. She furthered her studies at Texas Christian University, laying a foundation for a successful career.
Karen devoted much of her professional life to Lone Star Gas, where she worked diligently before retiring. Her commitment to her work was only matched by her dedication to her community and church. As a devoted member of the First Methodist Church in Eastland Karen’s faith was a cornerstone of her life.
Karen was known for her infectious laughter and her ability to light up a room with her stories and jokes. Her love for her family was evident to all who knew her.
She is survived by her cousins Marianne Walker (Vernon), Jerianne Byrne (Mark), Jaime Lovello (Mark), Jon Carter, Rod Pafford and family, and other cousins and family members.
A memorial service to celebrate Karen’s life will be on Monday, August 12, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at the First Methodist Church of Eastland. All who knew Karen are invited to join in honoring her memory and the joy she brought into their lives.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Enhabit Home Health and Hospice, 300 W Main St., Eastland, Texas, in Karen’s memory. Her kindness, warmth, and humor will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.
