Braley Brunson powered her ay to four medals on Thursday, including a pir of gold in the field, and spurred the Cisco Lady Loboes to the top of the team standings at the 2023 Eastland High School Relays. Delburt Schaefer was a gifted Cisco athlete who was QB of two winning football teams—1958 and 1959. He started on defense as a freshman, and was All-District in five sports his senior year, winning him a football scholarship to Texas Tech. His Freshman year at Tech they went undefeated. The Cisco Loboes struggled to get their offense in gear on Friday. And it resulted in the Albany Lions being able to sneak away with a 46-33 decision in a key District 10-2A showdown, With the loss, Cisco slipped to 8-3 in district play and, more importantly, fell to third in the 102A standings behund Hawley and Albany.
