The State Fair of Texas, one of America’s largest, longest (since 1886), and most historic state fairs, provides a unique venue for the promotion of heritage tourism as a vitally important Texas product. And volunteers from CISCO, EASTLAND COUNTY will be there to greet them for one of those days, highlighting the events and attractions that make our community special. Volunteers will help sta< the Texas Heritage Travel booth in the historic GoTexan Pavilion, next to the State Fair Wine Garden and close to the Cotton Bowl. First Methodist Church of Eastland would like to inform you about several ministries we have begun in our church. These ministries encourage attendance from community members and provide opportunities for worship inside the church and out in the community. Here are three ministries we would like to make you aware of: 1.) Reflect & Reconnect (also known as R&R): This service takes places in the Fellowship Hall at the First Methodist Church Wednesdays and begins at 5:30pm with a free meal that is followed by worship and testimony. 2.) Youth Program (6th –12th grade): We are proud to be officially opening our newly renovated youth building and are excited to be initiating a youth program that will begin on Sunday, September 24th at 5pm. The youth will have a meal provided by the church and will be led in worship, participate in Bible studies, play video games, embark on trips, and many other exciting opportunities.
