Comptroller Distributes Monthly Sales Tax Revenue City of Eastland shows YTD Increase
Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced recently that he would send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts $1.1 billion in local sales tax allocations for December, 2.5 percent more than in December 2022.

City of Eastland 2024 Bulk Trash Pick Up Residential Only
The Bulk Trash Pick Up schedule for 2024 is shown below. Bulk Trash items will be picked up on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month, by appointment only. You will need to call the City of Eastland 24 Hours before pickup at 254-629-8321, in order to make arrangements for pickup. Placing items at curbside more than 48 hours before your pickup date violates City Ordinance Article III, Section 9-19 and 9-21 and may result in a citation being issued. Bulk Trash items are belongings removed from a resident’s home or lot as described in the following list: Sofa or Couch, Table, Chair Mattress, Box Springs Stove Television Dryer & Washers Computer Monitor Lawn Mower or Lawn Equipment (oil and gas removed)

ECT Thanks All who helped with Gifts for Ranger Care Center
We want to Thank everyone who helped put all these gifts (pictured above) together for the Ranger Care Center residents. With out your help, we at the newspaper could not have collected or purchased so many wonderful items. So many Group, Keven O’Keefe, Jackie and Roseatta Stephens, Mac and Linda MQuilkin and many more, who didn’t give names when dropping off or others who were anonymous. Ranger Care Center residents were given pajamas, sweaters, shirts, socks, books, puzzles, candy, blankets, lotions, care kits, and many other things. Again thank you. Eastland County Judge Lifts Burn Ban
On Thursday, December 21, 2023 after receiving information from other knowledgeable sources, the County Judge decided to remove the OUTSIDE BURNING BAN in Eastland County with the stipulations and request that anyone intending to plan and execute any type of outside burning, please contact Eastland County Cooperative Dispatch (254)629-1728 and their nearest UHGHSDUWPHWWRRWLIWKHPRIWKHWLPHDGORFDWLRRIWKHRWVLGHEULJ DFWLYLWLWKRUHEHLJVWDUWHGLIWKHUHLV03LGVSHHGRUDERYH Please use extreme caution with any outside burning! The County Judge may rescind the Order Restricting Outdoor Burning upon a determination that the circumstances that required the Order no longer exist.
