We want to Thank everyone who helped put all these gifts (pictured above) together for the Ranger Care Center residents. With out your help, we at the newspaper could not have collected or purchased so many wonderful items. So many Group, Keven O’Keefe, Jackie and Roseatta Stephens, Mac and Linda MQuilkin and many more, who didn’t give names when dropping off or others who were anonymous. Ranger Care Center residents were given pajamas, sweaters, shirts, socks, books, puzzles, candy, blankets, lotions, care kits, and many other things. Again thank you. Also thanks to the three ladies above, Laura Freeman, Michelle Perrin and Shelby Fuquay for sorting and bagging all the gifts to deliver to Ranger Care Center. Bluebonnet Chapter hosted by City of Eastland
On December 13, 2023 the Bluebonnet Chapter of Association was hosted by the City of Eastland. 15 City Secretaries met at The Connellee Hotel and Civic Center in Eastland. Eastland Mayor Larry Vernon and Eastland City welcomed City Secretaries from across the region and provided a meal of yummy chili, beans and potato soup The meal was sponsored by Clint Coffee State Farm Insurance, who, along with the City of Eastland, provided Goody Bags to all attendees. Several attendees brought items for a Silent Auction. This auction helps provide funds for our scholarships for continuing education or TMCCP Cer After the meal, the City Secretaries conducted their quarterly business meeting. Highlights of the meeting include: newly elected officers taking their Oath of Office; the 2023 Blue bonnet Chapter Municipal Clerk of the Year was awarded to Abilene Deputy City Secretary Kaitlin Richardson. 12/21/2023 12:00 AM
