01/14/2023 The answer is YES! I will choose Truth and Light. I will choose Life. But my choice does not come without a price. This price was paid by my Rescuer, my Redeemer. He came to me, reached out His hand and said “Come, for I am The Way, The Truth, The Life”.

Since 1945 this corner has served as a place of worship to the many believers of Eastland County. Texas A&M AgriLife: If you Love It, Click It!
Valentine’s Day is a good time to show your love by making sure that before you start your vehicle, all passengers- big and small- are always buckled up correctly. This is even more important as we continue to see an increase in traffic crash fatalities each year. Taking those few seconds to buckle up your children into their car seats and boosters, and making sure older children and adults are buckled up, is the most crucial step you can take to protect those you love in a crash. Those few seconds can save your family and friends from having to go through a needless tragedy. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), among passenger vehicle occupants killed in 2020, over half were unrestrained. This number of unrestrained occupants is the highest it has been in over ten years. So, we need to show a lot more love and respect for our seat belts.

County Agent’s Corner
I get calls on a regular basis about how to “totally eradicate” brush, briar, weeds, and cactus from the land. These plants were here before us and, in spite of our efforts, will likely be here when we are all gone to be completely honest. They have incredible root systems, they are drought, freeze, and insect tolerant, and have great reproductive capabilities. The old saying is “if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em”, but what if we tweak that a bit and make it “if you can’t beat ‘em, learn to sort of tolerate or control ‘em”? Everyone has a different vision or plan for their land and your plan is what decides the tolerable population for plants you really don’t want there.

It Seems To Me
The universe is designed with both physical and moral laws. We do not live in a make-believe world but in a world of intelligent design. And that intelligent Designer is God. We couldn’t have a space program and ignore the law of gravity. We would not have bridges that span lakes and valleys without structural laws. We have moral law that establishes dignity and respect for each other. But a democracy, where the majority rules, will be destroyed if we attempt to remove moral law.
