Rangers look to cinch postseason berth
Heading into the final week of the 2023 NJCAA baseball season, the Ranger College Rangers know what they have to do. It’s win or go home time. The Rangers enter the final series of the season tied with rival Hill College for the fourth place in the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference standings. A split against Weatherford could, head coach Scott Norwood, feels could be enough to send Ranger to the Region V tournament for only the second year in a row and only the second time in the past four decades.

Things are beginning to “ROLL”in Ranger, Texas!! The Ranger Citizens Task Force is preparing the Old Sale Barn on Hwy 254 for a fun filled day of excitement. Sand has been hauled in and waiting to be spread. The bleachers were brought in last week.

Shooting Suspect Apprehended; EPD thanks Public for help
(Ed. note: The Eastland Police Department asked for the public’s assistance in locating the individual named below in connection with a shooting that occurred last Tuesday night. The following press release was sent out by EPD Capt. Dan Wilson:) “Eastland Police Department would like to thank the public for all their help locating alleged suspect William Clay Pitts. Many leads were generated by the public which eventually lead to Clay Pitts arrest. Clay Pitts is being held in the Eastland County Jail on 4 charges with a total bond amount of $140,000.

The Scranton Musical for this month will be May 6, 2023. The hostess for our dinner is Beth Bailey of Cisco, TX. The menu is enchilada casserole and salad. The meal costs $6.00 and includes tea or coffee with free refills. A dessert is $1.00.

God blessed us with a beautiful day, a little rain to water the arena before the Jackpot and just an amazing bunch of people!!
