Cisco Police Department along with Eastland County Sheriff’s Department and Cisco Fire Department were called to the Lake Cisco Point early Friday morning, September 23, where a man had been reported to have swam into the lake and never came back to shore. According to Cisco Police Chief Kenneth Preston the man entered the water while attending a gathering of friends and family at approximately 12:30am. Justice of the Peace Jon Glenn pronounced the man deceased at 1:50am. Chief Preston stated, “the response to this trag-ic event was a show of great team work among the officers, deputies and fire rescue personnel.
