Midwestern State University announces Spring 2021 graduates

WICHITA FALLS, Texas (June 8, 2021) - Local students graduated from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas, in Spring 2021. MSU Texas awarded degrees to 653 undergraduate and graduate students. Honor graduates receiving bachelor degrees included 62 summa cum laude, 79 magna cum laude, and 103 cum laude. Honor requirements are a grade point average of 3.9-4.0 for summa cum laude, 3.7-3.89 for magna cum laude, and 3.5-3.69 for cum laude. Additionally, 16 students completed the Redwine Honors Program. Honor graduates are designated in the list below.

Faculty/Staff of the Month: Ms. Tammy Riehle

Ms. Tammy Riehle was born, raised, and educated in Eastland County. She is currently finishing up her 29 year working for Ranger ISD. Ms. Tammy has two daughters Shayla Honeycutt and husband Nathan Honeycutt as well as Candy Clark and husband Kyle Clark. She has been blessed with 4 wonderful grandchildren. In the 29 years with Ranger ISD, she has worked in many different capacities learning many things along the way. Working with children is in her heart. She started out in the cafeteria as a cook and has also worked assignments within the special education department. She has served as AEP facilitator, student tracking aide and currently works as ISS teacher of which she considers to be the most rewarding getting to know and help these students. When not at school, Ms. Tammy enjoys working in her yard and working with clay with her best friend. She spends much of her time with family and sharing the love of Christ with others. Ms. Tammy went on a mission trip to Africa in 2017 staying 2 weeks in the Bush ministering to those in need. We are honored to award Ms. Tammy Riehle as our teacher of the month. She is a blessing and great asset to the Ranger ISD family!

Senior of the Month: Mr. Justin Richardson

Justin Richardson is the Ranger High School Senior of the Month for May. Justin is the son of Jamie and Sharen Richardson. He has attended Ranger for 14 years. Justin is actively involved in football, basketball, baseball, track, FFA, Student Council President and a local volunteer first responder. Notable awards or accomplishments include football and basketball honorable mention awards freshman, sophomore, and junior years as well as an honor graduate. Justin is also a recent dual certificate graduate of Ranger College in Welding and EMT. He plans to be a firefighter paramedic after graduation. Justin has been a great student leader for Ranger ISD and he will be missed!
