Cisco Goodfellows Need Your Help!

Last year the Cisco Goodfellows helped over 100 families have a wonderful Christmas with boxes of groceries and toys for over 250 children. We are looking to assist even more families and the Goodfellows organization cannot accomplish that without the help of business and personal donations from the community. Please consider donating early this year, as Goodfellows will be distributing on December 19th. We are accepting monetary donations as well as canned goods and unwrapped toys at the Myrtle Wilks Community Center at 1498 I-20 West in Cisco. Please help spread the joy of Christmas cheer to those less fortunate, as it is the best gift you can give to your community. If you choose to mail your check, make it out to Cisco Goodfellows and send it to the address above. We are also looking for volunteers to help with this massive undertaking.

Cisco Independent School District Offers Gifted Education

Cisco ISD conducts a program for students with above average potential in academic and productive thinking skills areas in grades K-12. This gifted education program is designed to challenge students to accelerate above and beyond the regular school curriculum. Anyone wishing to refer a student believed to be an intellectually gifted learner is encouraged to come by the appropriate campus office and complete the necessary forms, or you may email James Taylor at jtaylor@cisco.esc14.net for a form. Those students referred will go through a screening procedure that requires special testing (testing window December-February). At the time of referral, parents will be requested to grant permission for this testing. Active referrals will close November 20th, 2020.
