I’m Reading A Young Adult Novel By Jane Daly Called Where’s My Sister? (elk Lake Publishing, November 2023). It Deals With Cults, Religious Abuse, And psychological abuse. There’s also a harrowing scene in which the protagonist, Briana, is physically attacked by a man high on drugs and another difficult section of the book in which she’s homeless.

CISCO POLICE DEPARTMENT--On December 5, 2023 Officer Mark Purpura and Officer Edgar Sanchez arrived on scene of a suicidal subject who had serious self inflicted wounds. Together they worked quickly to perform life saving measures including placing a tourniquet and wound care on the man. Officer Purpura and Officer Sanchez were awarded Chief’s Commendation Awards for Life Saving. Chief Preston stated, “These two men used their training and experience to save the life of a stranger. I know the family is extremely grateful for their actions. I am very proud to have them on our department.”
