Betty Roena Hastings

CISCO – Betty Roena Hastings, 79, of Cisco, Texas, went to be with her Lord on April 8, 2020 while surrounded by family at home.

She was born June 6, 1940 in Ft. Worth, Texas to the late Rev. W. R. Collins and wife, Pearly Roena Collins.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Jerry R. Hastings and her brother William Russell “Ted” Collins. Betty is survived by

Betty is survived by her daughter, Juanelle R. Scharzwalder and husband Raymond “Bo”, son Jerry R. Hastings, Jr. “Randy” and significant other Melissa Bilby, two sisters, Carol and Glenda, a brother Robert “Bob”, three grandchildren and their spouses, three great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Betty was a true servant of the Lord, loved Jesus and witnessed to everyone she met. She was a homemaker, loved baking, buying and selling books and lived life as Jesus wanted her to. She was a kind, gentle person who helped people without question, and she will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
