Elizabeth Jane Morgan

Elizabeth Jane Rhyne Morgan, age 86, passed away on April 18, 2021.

There was a celebration of her life with a graveside service 2 pm Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Scranton Cemetery south of Cisco.

Jane was born December 12, 1934 to Mizpah and Jack Starr. She grew up around Scranton and was a proud graduate of Scranton High School. On June 3, 1953 she married Donald Rhyne and together they raised one son, J.V. Rhyne. After 47 years together, Don passed away in December 2000.

Jane was blessed to find love again when she married Glynn Morgan who survived her in death.

Jane was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was always involved in their lives and activities. She especially loved her role as Meme. She had a vivacious personality and always made the people around her laugh.

She is survived by her husband Glynn Morgan of Brownwood, son J.V. Rhyne of Cisco, grandchildren; Shelly Wallace and husband Kirk of Abilene, Ginger Bunn and husband Chase of Cross Plains and James Rhyne of Cross Plains as well as great-granddaughters Haley and Hannah Wallace of Abilene.
