Jason Lee Gray

Jason Lee Gray, 50, of Rising Star, TX passed away November 30, 2022, in Abilene TX. Jason’s family has entrusted Heartland Funeral Cremations of Comanche with his celebration of life graveside service. A visitation period of friends and family will be from 10 a.m. until 12 noon Saturday the 17th at the funeral home. Jason will be laid to rest at the Siloam Cemetery in Gustine with Jackie Bibby officiating. Jason was an ASC certified mechanic, grew up breaking horses, aspired to attend Barber College and retire as a tonsorial artist/repo man. Jason was saved and baptized on November 20, 2022, in the John Middleton Unit at Abilene, TX. His off hours’ time was spent fishing, hunting, finding arrowheads, stargazing, riding horses, and driving fast. Jason planned to marry his sweetheart, Jessica Holman, under his favorite oak tree upon release from incarceration.

Jason is survived by sons, Bryson Lee Gray (23) and Clayton Jay Gray (19); daughters, Jordan Lee Gray(16) and Josie Danielle Gray(14); father and mother, Jackie and Linda Gray; sister, Jacquelyn Joann Lawson-Gray; nieces, Riley Lawson Turner and Kaycee Lawson; nephew Roddy Lawson. Jason’s son Bryson and wife Morgan Hollister are expecting Jason’s first grandchild, Sammy Leigh Gray on 2/22/23.
