Jerry Gail Couger

Jerry Gail Couger passed away Sunday, May 2, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm Friday, May 7th, at Edwards Funeral Home in Strawn with Rev. Michael Orsini officiating.

Jerry Gail Couger was born to Ann Proctor Pannell and Rudolph Devine Pannell on July 21, 1942 in Breckenridge, Tx. Jerry was raised by her maternal grandparents, Ogle Ellis and Nora Mae Fenton Proctor.

Jerry was married to her favorite cowboy, Mack Couger, for 49 years. They married March 15, 1972 in Ranger.

One of Jerry’s favorite things to do was genealogy, not just for herself, but she has helped so many other. She loved to fish, and watch her hummingbirds

Jerry is survived by her husband, Mack Couger; three daughters; and four sons, Randy Couger of Strawn, Greg Couger of Mineral Wells, Kimmie Ashworth of Ranger, Brian Couger of Olden, Lisa Coleman of Gordon, Danna Squyres of Abilene, and Bo Couger of Dublin. Jerry is also survived by a sister, Ruby Vaughn; one niece, Debbie Minter; and one nephew, Dale Vaughn; and numerous grandchildren; greatgrandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
