Milton Rodger Terrell

Milton Rodger Terrell passed away on Sunday, April 9th, 2023. Many knew him as “RT.”

RT loved spending time with family and friends and listening to his favorite music. One of his favorite things to do was sit around with those he loved and singing to his favorite tunes. He would sing, laugh, and tell stories about all the good times he had with his friends. He so loved his family and friends. Having a successful career as an entrepreneur for many years, he worked hard, never giving up on his dreams. He put many to work, always treating others with respect, relishing in their success. RT was known as a very kind, generous soul.

Born in Levelland, TX, moving to Eastland, TX in Junior High. He had two Carbon, Texas; a son, Philip Dierks and fiancé, Vandy Simpson, Great Bend, Kansas; and a grandson, Austin Dierks, McPherson, Kansas.

A Graveside service will be held at 11am, Saturday, April 15th, at Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson, Ks.

Memorials may be made to the Rising Star Nursing Facility, Rising Star, Texas, The Dementia Society of America, or the American Heart Association.

32 32 siblings, Larry Terrell and his sister Carol, whom he loved dearly. Even while suffering with his illnesses, he took great care of his little brother Larry, who suffered from Parkinson’s and passed away in December 2022. His eyes lit up big time when he saw his grandchildren, Alexandra Terrell Russell and Symantha Terrell Henderson. He loved doting on his 3 great-grandchildren: Brooklynn, Doss, and Hunter. He was always there for his children, Scott Terrell and Amy Terrell, treating their friends as family as well.

Preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Lois Terrell, and beloved daughter, Tiffany Terrell. He loved his wife, Kathy High, whom he says was “sent by God”. They laughed a lot and had wonderful times together. Our family will always remember the love she showed him, as well as the rest of the family. The Mother of his children, Sharon Riley and husband Tom, remained friends while enjoying the children over the years, and the four of them would enjoy an occasional outing to their favorite music venue. Many will miss RT.

The memorial service will be Thursday, April 13 at First Baptist Eastland at 2:00 pm.
