Oscar Hutchins

Oscar Hutchins, 71, of Ranger passed away Friday, May 14, 2021 in Abilene, Texas.

He was born February 20, 1950 in Dallas County to Walter Sr. and Cathreen Hutchins. He was the youngest of 3 boys.

Oscar is survived by brother, Alford (Patricia) Hutchins of Seagoville, Tx; ex-wife and caregiver, Mary Hutchins; two step daughters, Sara Short (Ronnie), Mary Burger (Allen); 6 step grandchildren, William Short, Atlana Harris (Mason), Allen Chatham, Jr. (Destiny), Courtney Sherman (Daniel), Austin Chatham and Ashlie Larance (Kevin Kidd); 8 step great granchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and extended family.

He was raised most of his life in Ranger.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Walter, Jr.

He worked in the tire business for many years.

He was cremated at his request. Service was done by Girdner Funeral Home in Abilene, Texas.
