Roy Hasting Byrd

EASTLAND - Roy Hasting “Buddy” Byrd, 83, beloved husband, was called to his eternal resting place on Monday, November 14, 2022. An open visitation will be held Friday, November 18th at 10:00 AM at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel followed by a graveside service at Flatwood Cemetery at 11:00 AM.

Buddy entered this world on April 17, 1939 in Carbon, Texas, born to Moley and Eara Byrd. Roy served in the Army from 19561958 and was a Mason. He married Wanda King Byrd on February 12, 2019 in Breckenridge, Texas.

He is proceeded in death by his parents; brother, Jack B. Byrd; and sisters, Sue Garrett, Lorraine Hooper, Emma Lou Benton, and Betty Jackson. Buddy is survived by his wife, Wanda Byrd; sons, Randal E. Byrd and Justin K. Byrd and wife Ashley; daughters, Regina Davis and Ronda Byrd; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
