Royce Allen Harris

CISCO- Royce Allen Harris, of Cisco, passed from this life on February 26, 2020. Royce was 72 years, 6 months and 27 days old.

He was born in Gorman, Texas August 29, 1947 to A.W. and Lizzie Harris. Royce was a member of the Church of Christ.

Funeral Service were held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Kimbrough Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at Oakwood Cemetery in Cisco. Visitation with family and friends was Friday evening 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Kimbrough Funeral Home.

Royce lived the first few years of his life in Breckenridge before the family moved to a farm in the Mitchell community. He went to Scranton School and enjoyed playing basketball for the Scranton Antelopes until the school district closed in 1964. Royce was a dairy farmer, helicopter mechanic, bull dozer operator and truck driver. He also was an avid billiards player.

Royce is survived by his mother Lizzie Ditto, of Cisco. Son, Robert Harris and significate other Amy Payne of Cisco, daughter, Deborah Harris of Cisco, sister, Jackie Reese and husband James of Abilene. Five grandchildren, Allen Harris of Cisco, Tiffany Hobbs of Littlefork, Minnesota, Justin Harris of Eula, Miranda Harris of Cisco, and Harley Harris of Cisco. Two nieces, Tammy Reese of Abilene and Kathy Siegfried and husband David of Abilene. One nephew Britt Reese. Three great nephews, Reese Allen of Lubbock, Mark Reese of Abilene and Christopher Eggins of Abilene. One great niece, Jasmine Eggins of Abilene and ten great grandchildren and numerous friends.

He was preceded in death by his father A.W. Harris.

The family would like to thank the friends and neighbors for their Prayers and the love and emotional support during his lengthy illness and to Kindred Hospice for the great care they provided.
