T. F. Guthrie

T. F. Guthrie, age 85, passed away on October 23, 2021 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born on May 10, 1936 to Session and Pearl Thompson Guthrie. He married Belva Lou Smith on July 6, 1955.

T. F. was a cowboy and cattle rancher for most of his life. He will be remembered for his love of family, sense of humor, story telling, and willingness to always help his neighbors.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Session and Pearl Thompson Guthrie; his sister, Fay Hubbard; and his brother, Linwood Guthrie.

T. F. is survived by his wife of 66 years, Belva Lou Guthrie; son, Kirby Guthrie and fiancée, Debbie; daughter, Karen Lee and husband, Charlie; grandson, Dustin Lee and wife, Christie; granddaughter, Kayla Weldy and husband, Zach; great granddaughter, Emmi Jo Lee; sisters: Teddie Whitehead, Sue Harrell and Martha Georg; brother-in-law, James Smith and wife, Pat; many nieces, nephews and friends.

In Lieu of flowers, the family is suggesting a donation in T.F.'s memory to a charity of your choice, or to First Baptist Church, Florence, Texas.

A visitation was held in T. F.'s honor on Saturday October 30, 2021 at 12:00 pm at the Florence First Baptist Church, located at 106 College Ave, Florence, Texas, followed by a 1:00 pm funeral service. A graveside service was held at 2:00pm at the Florence City Cemetery located at 507 B Story Ave, Florence, Texas 76527.
