Theresa Gailey

Theresa, or as everyone knew her as Tina or Mema, was born in London England. She met and married Elmer in London during WW2. After the war she came to Texas aboard the USS Washington by herself arriving in New York in 1946. After three weeks of travel from London she arrived in Strawn where Elmer and his family owned Tudor Ranch. A shock for a city girl! They lived on the ranch for a couple of years. Then they moved to Strawn where she has lived for seventy years. They continued to ranch and later Tina babysat a lot of the children of Strawn. The only babysitter that kept her crystal out and not a piece was ever broken! She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. Mema loved to garden and her beautiful yard proved that. She is now at peace with her Elmer and her boys. Mema will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
