FIRST FINANCIAL BANK ANNOUNCES PROMOTION OF BAILEY TO EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT OF ABILENE REGION; KANADY TO EASTLAND DIV. PRESIDENT

ABILENE, Texas, May 19, 2020 - The Board of Directors of First Financial Bank, N.A., today announced the promotion of David W. Bailey to Executive Vice President and Senior Lender for the Abilene Region. In addition, Candi Kanady was promoted to Eastland Division President. Bailey will continue to serve as Chairman and CEO of the Eastland Division. Both announcements were made by Ron Butler, Chairman and CEO of First Financial Bank, Abilene.

Parades honor local Seniors

Due to the current COVID-19 conditions, seniors around the county will be honored with parades and other activities which meet the safety guidelines. Parades were held in Rising Star and Gorman this weekend.(See more Page A4 ...) A senior parade will be held in Eastland Monday. MEMORIAL DAY MONDAY, MAY 25

Memorial Day originally began as a tribute to Union dead after the War Between the States. Decoration Day, as it was known then, was organized in the spring so fresh flowers could be placed on the graves of the recently deceased warriors. By the turn of the Century, the day was fixed to May 30th and adopted by states throughout the nation.
