Nelson Jenkins

Nelson Jenkins, 92, of Granbury, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2019. Graveside service was held at 2:00 PM, Friday, December 27, 2019, Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, officiated by Pastor David Alexander of First United Methodist Church, Mansfield where Nelson was a longtime member. Visitation was held from 10:00 AM -11:00 AM, Friday, December 27, 2019, at Wiley Funeral Home, Granbury.

Nelson was born on September 17, 1927 in Gorman, Texas to Thelma and Winborn Nelson Jenkins, Sr. He proudly served in the United States Navy. Nelson attended Rising Star High School and Hardin Simmons University. He went to work for Burroughs Corporation in 1957. He retired as a Vice President in 1986.

He travelled extensively for his job. Nelson “Junior” moved from Mansfield to Granbury, TX.

Nelson enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Dorothy Jenkins, his parents W. N. Jenkins and Thelma Dunlap Jenkins and sister Marjorie Jo Jenkins Downs “Blondie.”

Nelson is survived by his sons; Ted Jenkins and wife Carol, and Kim Jenkins and wife Valerie, daughter: Kelly Huffman and husband Randy, grandchildren: Harlan Jenkins and wife Amber, Bryce Jenkins and wife Amber, Joshua Jenkins and wife Candice, Andi Jenkins, Lex Jenkins and wife Joy, Jarrod Huffman and wife Emily, and Quinton Huffman and wife Kristen, great-grandchildren: Ian Jenkins, Alayna Jenkins, Ambrose Huffman, Theda Huffman, Gunnar Jenkins, Esme Jenkins, William Vaughn, Halston Main, and Jack Briggs and niece: Jan Teel Clarke and Bob Clarke.

Orville O. Clark, 96 of Cisco, passed away Thursday December 19, 2019. Graveside services will be held at the DFW National Cemetery in Dallas at 9:30 a.m. Friday, December 27, 2019.
