October 21 has been is the 2023 FALL FESTIVAL in the park on Hwy. 36 in Rising Star, 10 AM to 4 PM. FUN things to do are planned such as Photo Booth, cake walk, music, corn hole, face painting, jewelry, air fresheners, candy, wind chimes and a special pecan pie contest. Other goods may be sold as well.
Our Family and Community Service class (taught by Mrs. Keierleber) has been working on some pillowcase and pillow and basic quilting projects with Rising Star students. Through the process the students have learned about planning a project, selecting fabrics/patterns, and the sewing process. These projects look great!!!
