Back to School Bash

Back to School Bash was held Sunday at Myrtle Wilks Community Center with a large crowd. This train was giving kids rides. There were games, inflatables, sno cones, music, car show a motorcyle show, football players, cheerleaders, etc.

W.J. Armstrong’s Leadership Establishing Cisco Jr. College

I've read theses and original documents regarding the establishment of Cisco Junior College in the year 1940, but it seems that W. J. Armstrong who was president of the Cisco Independent School District Board has been overlooked. What I have read has given credit to L. A. Warren who was Vice-President of the board. Although I am sure that L. A. Warren played an important part in the negotiations with the Temple Trust Company who held bonds that determined the fate of the land in Cisco where three former colleges had existed, as did President Cluck, W. J. Armstrong played a major role.

Desdemona Fish Fry August 27

Don’t miss the fish fry @ the Desdemona Activity Center Saturday, August 27, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. This will be our last fish fry for 2022. We will have fish, chicken tenders, beans, french fries, potato salad, slaw, hush puppies, & all the extras including delicious desserts. Cost is by donation.
