Brownwood Man Arrested For Evading Arrest

On Saturday, January 16, 2021, Cisco Police Officer Nicole Butler received a call of a reckless driver entering the City Limit on Hwy 183 South. The vehicle was soon located and the driver led officers on a high speed chase through the area and eventually came to a stop when it crashed into the side of a local donut shop. Cisco Police Officer Clint Hauck and Sgt. Lee Risdon arrived to assist Officer Butler in taking the suspect into custody. The vehicle he was driving was damaged extensively; however, no damage was sustained to the business. Officers from the Eastland Police Department, Eastland Sheriff’s Office and Texas Department of Public Safety assisted with the pursuit and apprehension of Matthew Dylan Power of Brownwood, Texas. Power was charged with Felony Evading Arrest, Driving While Intoxicated and Possession of Marijuana over 4 ounces. Powers was treated on scene by EMS personnel and cleared to be detained.

Two arrested for Drugs

On Jan. 21, 2021 Cisco Police assisted the Eastland County Community Supervision and Corrections Dept. at a residence in which two were arrested. A search of the home revealed quantities of suspected methamphetamine and marijuana.

Two Arrested For Drug Possession

A Watauga couple who engaged themselves in a disturbance at the Stripes Convenience Store was arrested on January 14, for Possession of Methamphetamine. Sgt. Tammie Stubblefield arrived after responding to the call and upon investigation located substantial amounts of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in their possession. Shannondoa Murray and Jessica Greer were subsequently arrested and charged with 2nd Degree Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance. Both were housed in Eastland County Jail.

THANK YOU FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH--On January 20, Cisco Police Department was honored to receive a check for $1124.25 from the First United Methodist Church of Cisco. The money is from partial proceeds from The Lords Acre held annually by the church body. A HUGE THANK YOU to the FUMC from all of us at Cisco PD.
