CSNP is gearing up for its 3rd Annual Rummage Sale held in conjunction with the Cisco Chamber of Commerce’s City-Wide Sale held on Saturday, March 3rd. We will be accepting your clean, gently used items at the First United Methodist Church, 405 West 8th St. starting on Monday, March 23 thru Friday the 27th from 1-6 pm. The sale will be on Saturday, March 28th from 7:30 am until 3 pm.
On March 9, 2020 at 11:40pm Cisco Police Officers Tammie Stubblefield and Officer Don Walls discovered a suspicious vehicle parked at a local church. An investigation revealed that two occupants in the vehicle were in possession of a controlled substance weighing over 4 grams. The two were eventually arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance. Arrested were Terold Dewitt Wilkinson, 44 of Cisco and Alisha Rachelle Bridges, 26 also of Cisco. Both have been booked into Eastland County Jail on the charge. --Kenneth D. Opened in November 2018, Ruby’s Pearls is owned by Kylieigh Henrich and her mother. It was opened after a move back to Cisco, TX, to honor Kyleigh’s great grandmother’s legacy who was a victim of human trafficking. Therefore, a portion of all proceeds go to organizations that assist women coming from human trafficking and domestic violence. Kyleigh stated that her favorite part of having a storefront is ‘getting to love on women and make them feel beautiful’ .
I have been asked by many,”What can I do to help?” I am in the process of coordinating with the Cisco Senior Nutrition Program to help out our elderly. It has been suggested we create care packages, to be delivered by the Senior Nutrition Program, with their daily meal. We will be taking donations of the following items at the Hilton Center starting Tuesday, March 17th through Thursday, March 19th. Dollar General has a $1 isle that has lots of great things for the care packages. Please bring your items to the Hilton Center located at 309 Conrad Hilton Avenue, Cisco.
