Laverne E. Boggs Myers of Lake Leon passed away 10/8/22 from a long illness.
Fresh off a grueling non-district campaign and a week off, the Eastland Mavericks will get a chance to begin anew this Friday when they face off against the Jacksboro Tigers in their district opener. The two teams will begin play at 7 p.m. at Tiger Stadium in Jacksboro.
Have you ever been asked what drives you and makes you do the things you do? This question was asked of me recently and I had to really think about it. It has been very enlightening to try to define the answer. I have found that my answer can be formed into a creed. This creed defines my very being and I believe it truly illuminates my faith.
Open Third Saturday Each Month Our goal is to help families that are temporarily in need of assistance. If you would like to contribute to the food pantry this month, we are asking for canned corn, canned mixed vegetables, and macaroni & cheese. These and other items can be donated during office hours at the church office, Monday – Thursday, 9am – 4pm and Friday 9am - 12pm.
