Glow Run 5K Sat. July 23rd

Eastland Memorial Hospital Wellness Center is holding the annual Glow Run 5K this Saturday, July 23rd. The race will begin at 8:30pm. Registration is from 7pm to 8pm. Registration forms are also available at the Wellness Center desk. We hope to have as many participants as possible this race day!

Tips for avoiding Fraud Presented

Billy Sides, Fraud Investigator for First Financial Bank, presented a very informative program regarding fraud prevention to the Ranger Lions Club last Thursday - a program that will interest everyone. Derrick Saucedo, Sen. Vice-President of FFB Eastland, invited Mr. Sides to speak to the club about this subject. They were joined by Candi Kanady, FFB Eastland President.

Remains found in Ranger

In the early morning of Thursday, July 14, 2022, the Eastland County Sheriff’s Office received a report of skeletal remains that were found on a property located West of Ranger on Loop 254. Deputies verified that the remains were human. An investigation is ongoing and in the early stages. Texas Rangers were called to assist. The remains will be sent to the University of North Texas for forensics. There is no other information that can be given at this time.

State Champions! On to Nationals!

Eastland FFA members spent the last week competing, participating, and attending the 94th Texas FFA Convention in Ft. Worth. We had an amazing week coming home with a STATE CHAMPION TEAM, one of the top ranked chapters in the state, scholarships, state finalist public speakers, lonestar recipients, and kids that are ready to go do it all over again!
