Ranger College Golemon Library Presents The Way Things Were: Texas Settlers and Their Buildings, 1860s--1930s

From January 31 through February 27, 2022, Ranger College’s Golemon Library will present “The Way Things Were: Texas Settlers and Their Buildings, 1860s--1930s,” an exhibition--produced by Humanities Texas, the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.

There will be a Hunter Safety Education course provided by Texas Parks & Wildlife Game Warden Lee Dycus and the Eastland County Extension office February 26, 2022, at 1:00 pm in the Extension office for local youth. Texas hunters born on or after September 2, 1971, are required to complete the course in and this is an opportunity for our local youth to do so. Cost is $15 and seating is limited to 20 participants so call 254-629- 2222 to reserve your seat.

Flatwood Cemetery Association Annual Meeting 2022

The annual Flatwood Cemetery Association meeting will be held on Monday, February 21, 2022. We will be discussing plans for the cemetery and how we can make things better. The meeting will be held at the home of Mark and Carol Blaylock, 707 C.R. 309 in the Flatwood community at 7:00 p.m. If you have any interest in the Flatwood Cemetery please join us.
