Members of the Bosque River Chapter of The Children of the Republic of Texas
Members of the Bosque River Chapter of The Children of the Republic of Texas recently gathered for a picture in front of the Alamo in San Antonio as grand kick off to the 2021/2022 year. (Left to right: Kaylee Flanary, Kara Verbeek, Kaitlin Verbeek, Kolton Verbeek, Patti Flanary and Piper Stover). A second meeting was held at Barnard’s Mill in Glen Rose to tour the mill and view the One Man Two Worlds exhibit about Quanah Parker. They also enjoyed the presentation by Liz McDonald, dressed in a buckskin dress, told Indian folktales and recounted the life of Cynthia Ann Parker. During a business meeting new officers were elected for the coming year and plans were made for upcoming programs. Members of CRT are boys and girls under age 21 who are direct descendants of men or women who honorably served the Republic of Texas.
