The Eastland County Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) is proud to announce 4th grade Eastland Maverick, Cynthia, as the First Place Winner in the “Create a Superhero” contest. Her superhero, Ember, was chosen from entries that came in from Eastland County 1st-5th graders and will be the official CAC theme logo for 2021-2022. In addition, she was awarded a prize package of movie tickets, pizza, and a gift card to Maxx Air in Abilene.
Responding to the increasing number of people wanting to assist law enforcement officials and build a stronger partnership in the fight against crime, Sheriff Chad Roberts today announced that Eastland county citizens are being invited to become Associate Members of the Sheriffs’ Association of Texas.
Members of Eastland County’s Catholic churches, St. Rita’s in Ranger, St. Francis Xavier in Eastland and Holy Rosary in Cisco, performed “The Passion of Christ” live on Good Friday in an outdoor setting. The performance was well done and emotional, and is presented every year on Good Friday.
