It is with deepest regret the Desdemona Activity Center is canceling our Alumni/Fish fry scheduled for Saturday, August 8th .

We as a nation are blessed with a history where our founding father’s came to establish a place which would go forth to the rest of the world to share Jesus Christ. In the early days of the move into the frontier regions the people would build a church. This structure served as a gathering place for worshipping God, a place for establishing law and order, and for educating the children of the settlers of the land. I mention this point because it is missing today in America. We have church buildings but too many of them are just four walls and places where people gather for self-realization. The power to possess the land in even the smallest of communities has been lost.
