Homemade Food served at ZJ’s

If you want homemade food, but don’t want to cook, ZJ’s on Kent Street in Gorman is the place to go. ZJ’s is a family owned business. Laura Hurta has three boys, and her husband who help with the restaurant. One of her boys cooks, one is a bartender, and one is a waiter. ZJs features a wide variety of meals, including steaks, Western classics, Tex-Mex and much more. And don’t forget to get a slice of the delicious homemade pie! Cool-Off at Gorman’s Ice House

A new snow cone stand, the Ice House, has opened in the town of Gorman. David Campbell opened the stand on a Tuesday in front of his BBQ shop, currently located on Hwy 6. His daughter and her friends help him by running it so he can continue cooking BBQ. By July 1st David is planning to move both his BBQ shop and snow cone stand a couple of blocks away, next to the Post Office. So, if you want to cool of this summer head on over to the Ice House. A big variety of snow cone flavors are available. By Brooke Reep
