Panthers rush past Perrin-Whitt

Joseph Rainey and Maddox Roberts both rushed for touchdowns on Friday and lifted the Gorman Panthers to an important 38-0 victory over the Perrin- Whitt Pirates at Brogdon Field. With the win, Gorman moved into a tie for second-place in the District 9-A Division I. The Panthers improved to 1-1 in district action and head into Week 8 just one game back of Gordon in the district race. The Panthers jumped on Perrin-Whitt early. They scored twice in the first 10 minutes of play and grabbed a 14-0 advantage. They all but iced the contest in the third by grinding out two more scores and upping their lead to 30-0 at the start of the final frame.

Public Works Report for September 2022 Director Joe Williams Meter routes read; Dead ends flushed; Other hydrants flushed as well. Bacteria samples collected; Results were good. Routine work done everyday; Week end Duties; Rotation of City Crew. Mowing and Trimming as well as chipping being done. Street repairs as we can get to them being done. No sewer stops to report. One water leak at Daniel’s residence; Service line leak repaired. We installed a new injection pump on the las side of our booster station. Repair to hose running form chorine storage tank to the chlorine injection pump in our booster station.

Armstrong Masonic Lodge Distributes Dental Kits to First Graders

Armstrong Lodge has been participating in the Fantastic Teeth Fan Club for more than 10 years. Distributing Dental Care Kits to First Graders in the Deleon and Gorman Independent School Districts at no cost. The Fantastic Teeth Fan Club is a program created by Masonic Children & Family Services of Texas (MCFS) to help children and parents learn to prevent painful dental problems and avoid expensive treatment. They partner with Masonic Lodges across the state to provide free tooth decay prevention kits and dental education to first graders. In addition to the Fantastic Teeth Fan Club Masonic Children & Family Services of Texas partners with charitable organizations, medical professionals and educational facilities to provide safety, comfort, food, shelter, healthcare and educational services– basic needs every child and family deserves.
