The Gorman Panthers kicked off their 2022 season in grand fashion Friday night in front of their home fans. Gorman rode the legs of Dimitri Brandenburg to a rousing 58-12 victory over Lometa at Brogdon Field.

The 36th annual Peanut Festival Car Show will be held Saturday, Sept. 10th from 4-6 p.m. Sign-ups at 3:30 p.m. Parade line up at 6 p.m. (for entries interested. Awards: following parade. Categories: Best in Show, Best Antique Car, Best Classic Car, Best Modern Car, Best Hot Rod, Best Jeep, Best Truck, Best Motorcycle, Best Ford, Best GM, Best Mopar and People’s Choice. Trophies for each category. Entry fee: By Donation (proceeds go to the Gorman ISD Athletic Program) Pre-entries: Due by Friday, September 2nd and pre-entry gets in a drawing for a $50 gas card.
