Despite a stellar effort from James Uhlhorn, the Ranger Bulldogs kicked off their 2022 season on a sour note on Friday by falling to Newcastle, 72-42.
A year ago, the Ranger Bulldogs did the unthinkable. They ended a half century of frustration and won the independent sixman football state title in their first year at the Class A level. They’re hoping to extend that success in 2022 – and to begin establishing a tradition of excellence that will lead them into the UIL ranks in two years.
