Take Your Time Leaving Home Cleatus Rattan

Cleatus Rattan and his wife Connie moved to Cisco in 1973 where he taught English at Cisco Junior College for over 30 years. He submited prose and poetry often for publication and had to suffer rejection many times. Perhaps having been a football player at SMU for two years and then serving as a Sergeant in the Marine Corp for four years, plus being a working and rodeo cowboy, gave Cleatus determination. He attended seven universities and obtained five degrees: B. A. and M.A. North Texas, two other Master’s degree, Hardin-Simmons and SMU, and his ED.D., Texas A & M at Commerce. The late Connie Rattan (who died this last year) was also a brilliant scholar and educator.
