Have You Heard of the Milling or Brown Sanatoriums in Cisco?

Many of us remember Brown’s Sanatorium on West Sixth St. in Cisco first run by Dr. Norman A. Brown and later by his son Chief Brown; a daughter of Chief Brown, Colette Brown Latson, lives about a block away and knows much more than I do about this interesting part of Cisco’s early history. She remembers her grandmother and her quilting groups and has one of the signed quilts that was made by some of the residents at Brown’s Sanatorium. Many remember the Magnetic or Rubbing Doctor Treatment. These were doctors who supported drugless healing where other types of treatment had failed.
