Cisco Lion’s Club Honors Members

The Cisco Lion’s Club met on Friday, July 30th at the Pizza Heaven in Cisco. Awards were handed out to Jerry McBeth for serving 40 years. Linda Hanlon was presented with a certificate for outgoing President. Linda served as acting president since 2019. Ben Hanlon is incoming president of the Lion’s Club for 2021- 2023.

City of Cisco Receives Water Plant Vehicle

A Ford pickup recently used to smuggle illegal immigrants has been seized by the Cisco Police Department. The vehicle was stopped on IH 20 in March with 12 occupants. Lt. Risdon initiated the traffic stop where he discovered the Human Smuggling operation. Recently, with the legal assistance of the 91st Criminal District Attorney’s office, the pickup was forfeited to Cisco Police. On August 30, Chief Kenneth Preston handed the keys of the pickup over to Public Works Director Paul Flores. The truck will now be used by the City as a Water Plant vehicle. The truck was used in a felonious manner and now become an asset to the tax paying citizens of Cisco.

Cisco Lion’s Club Meets at Dairy Queen

The Cisco Lion’ Club would like to thank the Cisco Dairy Queen for hosting the club’s meeting on Friday, August 27, 2021. The members enjoyed a great lunch and meeting followed by fellowship with one another. Meetings are held monthly, and the club would encourage all who are interested to join. Pictured are Linda Burns, club member, May Baker, manager’s wife, Chad Donahoe, assistant manager, and Tammy Douglas, club member.
