DECATUR - Not every team gets a second chance to win a playoff game. Callisburg didn’t. In fact, they never even had a chance at all.

Mavs claim 5-3A crown with 65-19 blowout

The Eastland Mavericks put themselves right where they needed to be on Friday. Eastland rode the right arm of quarterback Behren Morton to the District 5-3A championships by pounding out a stunning 65-19 victory over the Dublin Lions in front of a large crowd at Maverick Stadium.
