After a tumultuous start to the season, the Eastland High School Mavericks are finally at full strength offensively. And the rest of the state is paying for it.
The Eastland High School Lady Mavericks will make their next-to-last home appearance of the 2020 volleyball season this Saturday when they host the Comanche Maidens in the EHS gymnasium. The game is scheduled to begin at noon.
It took a little longer than they Eastland Mavericks had hoped, but the offense found its legs on Friday. The Mavericks reeled off more than 550 total yards and rolled to a 78-54 victory over the McKinney Christian Academy Mustangs in front of a small crowd at Kangaroo Stadium in Weatherford.
When the 2020 high school football season is done, Eastland High School head coach James Morton can add circus manager to his resume. He has, after all, juggled his team’s schedule more than most performers.
