2021 has been a challenging year for many, perhaps even more taxing than 2020. Major events have rocked our community from a major freeze that displaced countless individuals, two floods that severely impacted our community, and covid always seems to be lurking around the corner.
Farmers & Merchants bank has a beautiful Angel tree in the lobby and ask community members to come pick an Angel to make Christmas brighter for a local child. Gifts due back to bank by Dec. 15.
The Cowboy Ball was held Friday at Leon River Cowboy Church in Olden. This was a time for good food and fellowship and enjoyed by the many that attended. The evening continued with the live band and some fancy Texas two-step.
Lots of children and grownups enjoyed visiting Santa at the Grimes Garden after the Lighted Christmas Parade on Saturday.
