Events offered at Library

The Eastland Centennial Memorial Library offers several events at the library each month Crochet classes will begin again during the month of October. The first class will be on Thursday, October 7th at 4:30 p.m. This group usually meets for several weeks at a time to learn a new stitch or craft, then takes a break to work on projects. Some of the participants are working on lap blankets for the nursing homes. This month the group will learn about Locker Hooking. There will be some Locker Hooking kits available for purchase or you may bring your own project to work on. Visit this site for more information about Locker Hooking, https://chickenscratchny.com/introduction-to-locker-hooking/

The 3rd annual Cookie walk was held in Cisco on Saturday at Waverly’s. Even with the rain, there was a good turn out. The cookie Walk was also part of the City Wide Garage sale that took place on the same day. There were long tables full of cookies for you to choose from with so many different flavors. All proceeds from the cookie walk benefit Cisco Strong, Inc. a local nonprofit organization whose mission is to support projects that revitalize, restore, and beautify the Cisco community.
