Eastland Memorial Hospital ‘Kicks-off’ 3-D Mammography Fundraiser

Eastland Memorial Hospital and the Volunteers “kicked-off” their fundraiser for a new 3-D Mammography unit, with a generous donation of $10,000! The total cost, including installation, is approximately $325,000. This new, state of the art 3D mammography equipment will increase the early detection rate of breast cancer, thus improving the quality of women’s health. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the importance of early detection and awareness is evident.
