Olden Musical is Sat., Feb. 20th

The Olden Community Center will hold its regular hot country meal and fine classic music that many of us grew up listening to. We invite you to come out to Olden on February 20th, and spend an enjoyable evening of fine food and great music. This month we will be serving Meatloaf, green beans and mashed potatoes, a drink and dessert. Admission is free and meal is $6.00. The meal starts at 5:00 PM and the music starts at 5:30 PM. There is no charge to just listen to the music. Our musicians are from the area in and around Eastland County and perform some great country sounds. When the door closes, you can leave your troubles at the door, visit with friends and neighbors, enjoy our comfortable facility and enjoy the entertainment for the evening. Come on out to Olden Saturday, February 20th and join us.

Romanian Missionaries to Speak at New Carbon Christ Center

Nico and Caprice Gatea, pastors in Ocna Mures, Romania will present a mission’s program at New Carbon Christ Center this Sunday, February 7 during the morning service. They are home for furlough but will be returning to Romania soon. The mission work was started among the Gypsy population around the time of the Romanian Revolution and the overthrow of the communist party under the leadership of Nicolae Ceausescu. The couple oversee an outreach that provides Romanian Missionaries to Speak at New Carbon Christ Center soup and bread for children as well as maintaining three churches in the Transylvania region with outreaches in others.
