We are excited to be able to host youth this summer at 4-H Camp! We have taken time to work through the guidelines and recommendations set by the American Camp Association, CDC, Governor Abbott, and AgriLife Extension Leadership Team and we are confident that we will be able to create a safe camp environment for the youth of Texas. Here are a few of the practices we will be implementing:
Texas Agrilife Extension is providing free training for those farmers and ranchers who might qualify for assistance as a result of the National emergency. The following link https://agrilifelearn.tamu.edu/product?catalog=-TAEX-002 will take you to the site that has easy to follow directions for assistance and how to apply. It is important that we remember and support our farmers and ranchers who put food on our tables.
Last week, history was made at First Financial Bank in Eastland. Promotions were handed down. Our President, David Bailey, is being moved to Executive Vice President and Senior Lender for Abilene Region.
Baseball is returning to Texas. And it will happen sooner than anyone could imagine. The Palm Springs Collegiate League, facing COVID-19 restrictions in California, will be playing its 2020 season far from any palm trees beginning in June. The 9-team wooden bat college league agreed last week to relocate its operations to Ellis Burks Field on the campus of Ranger College.
