Thursday, May 7th , is the annual National Day of Prayer. Due to the current shut down, no events are planned. However, two or three doing a prayer-walk in their neighborhood is encouraged. The prayer theme for this year is “GOD’S GLORY ACROSS THE EARTH”. An on line broadcast will be from 7 to 9 in the evening.
The Ranger Veterans Support Group may have to cancel Memorial Day May 25th because of the corona virus.

Ranger College- May 4, 2020 – The Aspen Institute College Excellence Program today announced that Dr. Jennifer Kent, Senior Vice President at Ranger College, is one of 40 leaders selected for the 2020-21 class of the Aspen Rising Presidents Fellowship, a highly selected leadership program preparing the next generation of community college presidents to transform institutions to achieve higher and more equitable levels of student success.
Early Tuesday morning, a report of a person hit by a train was received in Cisco. After searching, the Sheriff Dept. found the victim’s body. The body could not be identified at this time, according to officer Terry Honea, pictured above at the scene. By: Sheila McCoy Hickox
