Olden Volunteer Fire Department is excited to announce that it is time for our Annual Fund Raiser!! We will be serving Brisket, beans, potato salad and all of the trimmings! Sweet Tea and Unsweet Tea will be available. Save the Date and Time! Saturday, May 9, 2020. We are located at 450 FM 3363, Olden Texas. $10.00 for a plate of mouthwatering brisket! Our station will be open to Dine In. We will have Carry Out Plates available. We will also have a Drive Thru.Thank you for supporting your Volunteer Fire Fighters and First Responders!

Local VFW Post 4136 Serves Many Veterans

Eastland County VFW post 4136 is a part of the nation’s largest and oldest war veterans service organization. The two men pictured above, Virgil Wilson (service officer/ trustee), and Gary Gray (commanding officer), have been working hard on deep clean the post 4136 building, remodel, and updating a few things during the time of social distancing. They have had a couple of volunteers help them, and are welcoming any other volunteers who would like to help. You can help pay back for those who served for us. Hendrick Health Systems agrees to buy Brownwood, Abilene Regional Medical Centers

ABILENE, Texas (News Release) — Hendrick Health System has signed agreements to purchase Abilene Regional Medical Center (Abilene Regional) and Brownwood Regional Medical Center (Brownwood Regional) from affiliates of Community Health Systems, Inc. (CHS). The organizations anticipate finalizing the transactions by the fall of 2020, subject to state regulatory approval.
